We are getting closer and closer to new, officially adopted Land Use Plans in Columbia Falls, Kalispell, and Whitefish. While there isn’t much official action this week, as city councils are off today, there are some items to pay attention to. Read below for details. The 69th Montana Legislature's Transportation Interim Committee (TIC) is conducting an interim study on ways to improve passenger transportation service and public transit. TIC hopes to gain a broad-based perspective on how Montanans and their families utilize various forms of public transportation, both within local communities and for travel across the state. The information gathered from this survey will play a role in helping the TIC assess current transit services and identify areas of improvement. By analyzing community feedback, the committee hopes to pinpoint gaps in service, evaluate demand for new or expanded transportation options, and prioritize enhancements to existing systems.
