Mallory Phillips
Mallory is a Whitefish local with deep roots in her community. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Montana and earned her Master of Social Work at the University of Montana as well, graduating in 2024.
In 2017 Mallory and her partner moved to Kellogg, Idaho in order to buy a home that they could afford, while also working jobs that paid decent wages. While in Kellogg she was the Coordinator of the Historic Silver Valley Chamber of Commerce, where she was responsible for organizing and putting on community events like the farmers’ market.
Mallory was raised by a single mom until the age of 6. In her early childhood, Mallory’s mom worked at the Buffalo Cafe and was able to rent small homes in the Flathead Valley on a service industry wage. Money was tight, but her mom was always able to find a home. This would likely be much more difficult today in most of the Flathead Valley, and Mallory co-founded Livable Flathead to help solve the big problem of housing unaffordability and the high cost of living in the Flathead.
