Our story
Livable Flathead was created in August 2025, thanks to a generous grant from Shelter WF, to address the challenges of growth in the Flathead Valley. Our goal is simple: to keep the valley livable for generations to come.
We work to improve the valley's livability by providing well-researched information and educational resources on critical topics like housing, transportation, and economic development. We believe that by empowering residents, local leaders, and businesses with a deeper understanding of these issues, we can collaboratively shape a future that benefits everyone, while preserving the rural and open spaces that make Montana special.
We strive to be a trusted resource, helping to build a more regionally collaborative and sustainable future for our home.
our mission
Livable Flathead works to direct growth in the Flathead Valley proactively, using evidence-based policies to foster economic opportunities, interconnected transportation, and abundant housing options for all.
