Nathan Dugan
Born and raised in Northeast Ohio, Nathan moved to the Flathead Valley in 2015 after earning his physical therapy degree in New York. He continues to work as a home health physical therapist, giving him the opportunity to travel to every corner of Flathead County on a regular basis.
He co-founded Shelter WF in Whitefish to address the housing affordability crisis he witnessed firsthand in the community by reforming the city's housing, land use, and zoning policies. This work earned him an appointment to the Governor's Housing Task Force in 2022 and was instrumental in shaping new state zoning laws.
Nathan founded Livable Flathead to expand this critical work. With state-mandated changes to comprehensive plans and zoning in Kalispell, Columbia Falls, and Whitefish—a result of the 2023 Montana Land Use Planning Act—Livable Flathead is dedicated to ensuring that these changes benefit the entire Flathead Valley.
